QCD / Heavy flavour production in pp collisions at LHCb

The production of heavy hadrons in pp collisions involves both perturbative and non-perturbative energy scales of QCD, thus providing a crucial source of knowledge for strong interaction. The LHCb detector at the LHC is designed to cover the forward rapidity region, which provides access to a unique kinematic regime. Besides, the high integrated luminosity, large heavy hadron production cross-section and excellent performance of the detector make it an ideal laboratory for production measurements. In this talk, the latest measurements on heavy flavour production in pp collisions at LHCb will be presented.
